Eddie D Smith Senior, the pastor of the Macedonia church in Macon, Georgia, since August 6, 1972.  Before accepting the pastorate of Macedonia Baptist Church, Pastor Smith was a teacher in the Bibb County public school system.  He has also served on the Macon City Council and the Bibb County Board of Education.  Pastor Eddie Smith is highly involved in the community and wants to make a difference!  Therefore, he has adopted the biblical method for financing God’s church through tithes and offerings only.  During his tenure, Pastor Smith has licensed and ordained at least 37 ministers and deacons for the work of the Lord.  In December 2015, he was honored with the prestigious Gardner C. Taylor Preaching award by the Morehouse School of Religion at the interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Acts 14:21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,

Acts 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

Acts 14:23 Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust.

Acts 14:24 After going through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia,

Acts 14:25 and when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.

Acts 14:26 From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.

Acts 14:27 On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

Acts 14:28 And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.
